Meet Shereen
Founder and Partner
Shereen C. Chen, Esq. practices immigration and nationality law, representing both corporate and individual clients. She advises companies on immigration issues related to mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, compliance, and internal audits, while also handling family-based petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status, waivers, and employment-based immigration matters. Her experience includes a wide range of non-immigrant visas (E, H, I, L, O, P, Q, and R), as well as cases involving individuals of extraordinary ability, multinational executives, and PERM labor certifications.
Shereen’s clients include professional athletes, performing artists, religious leaders, investors, healthcare professionals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations across the United States. She is a frequent speaker on business immigration and regularly participates in naturalization ceremonies in partnership with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Active in her community, Shereen volunteers with several organizations and has received numerous honors, including the 2023 “Woman to Watch” by South Jersey Biz, the 2022 Diversity in Business Award from the Philadelphia Business Journal, and in 2016 she received the New Jersey State Bar Professional Lawyer of the Year award from APALA.
Shereen was appointed as the representative for Burlington County on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee (May 2023-2026). Recently, she was appointed to the New Jersey Court’s Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law (January 2026-December 2028).
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she immigrated to the United States and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She earned her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Camden.

Corporate Compliance
Our firm regularly assists employers with compliance and investigations involving U.S. immigration laws, helping businesses navigate complex regulations that affect hiring practices, workforce verification, and corporate operations. We advise companies during corporate restructuring, transactions, and due diligence processes where immigration compliance may present risks or require careful review. We also develop strategies to respond to and defend against allegations of unlawful hiring, Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) violations, civil penalties, and potential criminal charges. We counsel employers on corporate I-9 training and internal I-9 audits, address human resources verification issues related to regulatory benefits and changes such as Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and provide guidance on database verification programs including E-Verify. In addition, we assist employers in responding to government inspections, subpoenas, law enforcement inquiries, workplace raids, and identity verification requests, while advising on compliance with federal and state immigration laws and regulations.

Our firm handles a wide range of immigration matters, including employment-based and family-based petitions. We assist with non-immigrant visas such as H, L, E, O, P, Q, and R visas, PERM labor certifications, permanent residency applications, EB-1 and National Interest Waivers, and EB-5 investor petitions. We also represent clients in family-based cases, naturalization and citizenship applications, and VAWA petitions for abused spouses and children.
