Shereen Chen Gray Serves as Guest Speaker at the League of Women Voters of Burlington County

Shereen was the guest speaker for the League of Women Voters of Burlington County’s 2025–2026 Kick-Off Meeting at the Cinnaminson Branch Library.  The presentation was titled “Recent USA Immigration Initiatives and Their Effect on New Jersey.”

As an immigration attorney, Shereen has spent her career helping families, businesses, and communities navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. Her presentation focused on recent immigration initiatives in the United States and how these changes are affecting individuals and communities throughout New Jersey. “With so much shifting at the national level, it is more important than ever to understand how policy decisions directly impact our state,” said Shereen.

Shereen Chen Gray Presents Hot Topics in Immigration: Consequences of Certain NJ Convictions

Shereen presented a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, “Hot Topics in Immigration: Consequences of Certain NJ Convictions,” to the Burlington County Bar Association.

The presentation provided a practical and comprehensive overview of how various New Jersey convictions can impact a non-citizen client’s immigration status, including deportability, inadmissibility, and eligibility for relief. The presentation also covered strategic tools for minimizing harm, including the use of Post-Conviction Relief petitions and the role of expungements in mitigating long-term immigration barriers.

Shereen Presents CLE Program on Immigration Enforcement and Employer Preparedness

Shereen recently presented a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program for the Burlington County Bar Association titled New Immigration Initiatives Affecting Employers: How to Prepare Your Business Client for an ICE Raid.

The presentation addressed how evolving immigration initiatives and enforcement policies are impacting employers. Shereen provided insights into how attorneys can help their corporate clients prepare for increased scrutiny, including workplace audits, raids, and stricter penalties.

The session equipped attendees with practical strategies to ensure their clients are compliant and ready to respond to worksite enforcement actions.
